How does Neighbourhood Watch operate in Rowney Green?

Thanks to a network of committed Rowney Green residents led by Sandy Jenkinson, crime information and alerts are distributed via the NW messaging system so that property and people can be protected and so that anything suspicious is reported.

In Rowney Green there is an emphasis on crime prevention information and reminding householders of their own responsibility to observe basic security precautions such as property marking and security devices.

In addition, and separate to, the Rowney Green NW group, many residents are very active on the village WhatsApp group “Rowney Green Alerts”. Any unusual or suspicious activity becomes instantly known to all members of the group

What other organisations are involved?

The Rowney Green NW group talks to, and shares information with, West Mercia Police via the Alvechurch and Wythall Safer Neighbourhood Team.  You can visit their web page for the latest news and their contact details to see if you can help with current enquires.
