Heating

All 3 function rooms (Main Hall, Meeting Room and Social Room) are kept at a minimum 17 deg C background temperature all year round!

You will not need to arrive early to switch on the heating!

 

Access Keys

Your room key, accessible from the code-locked cabinet in the front porch, has a heating card attached. Inserting that card into the appropriate card reader inside the premises close to your room’s entrance door, will permit you to boost the room temperature, adjustable on the room stat inside the room, to a maximum of 21 deg C.
The code for the cabinet will be given to you by the Booking Team before arrival.

 

3 Function Rooms – book separately or combined

Licensed to play live music and to serve alcohol – subject to terms and conditions
Bookings for Minors’ Events (under 21) can only be accepted on the following terms: The booking and on-site responsibility on the day of the event, must be made/taken by an adult living in Rowney Green.

For Private Bookings and Parties for people of all ages: A deposit, paid in advance, will normally be required to cover potential breakages and any additional necessary post-event cleaning.

Bookings from other than local residents will be accepted only at the discretion of The Trustees – please contact the Booking Team

Theatre

– The comprehensive performance audio system and theatre lighting are operated from a remote control room – available for use by trained and approved personnel only. Groups using the stage for performances will need to book either the Meeting Room or the Social Room, or both, as a ‘Green Room’.

The remotely-controlled performance lighting and sound systems require skilled operation, therefore are suited for use by Regular Users and/or Community Groups, unless by special arrangement. For e.g. cinema nights, the Fixed-overhead Commercial Projector can also be operated via a laptop from the upstairs Lighting Control Room

The Social Room contains a locked servery for use only by The Friday Night and Monday Morning Goat and Trousers (Licensed Village Pub and Coffee House), including Village Community Social Events. Access to the servery is not available to hirers of the Social Room.

Soft upholstered chairs store neatly on mobile racks when not in use.

The kitchen in the Main Hall contains a Large Fridge Freezer, Commercial Water Boiler, Electric Kettle, Large Tea Pots, Commercial Range Cooker, Dishwasher plus in excess of 100 sets of crockery and cutlery

A motorised screen enables the projection of slide show images with their own laptop for visiting speakers or use of the fixed overhead commercial projector and audio system – to be operated by trained personnel only -speak to The Booking Team

A 4-speaker Stereo Audio System with controls in the wings of the stage, has a long-lead microphone, a CD player and 3.5mm plug in socket for Computer, Tablet, Smart Phone etc

A fold-down Baby Changing Facility is available in the Meeting Room Lobby Disabled Toilet

Generous windows make for good natural lighting. At night, blackout blinds ensure your event is kept private

With its suspended-floor stage and excellent acoustic character, the Main Hall makes a great venue for live music concerts
